BT have the largest IP network in the UK. They are the primary bandwidth
provider and the servers currently have a 60 Mb Internet connection with
them. This service is delivered on gigabit fibre and is diversely routed
to two different BT exchanges on different sides of the data centre. The
connection is 'burstable' to 155 Mb at the flick of a switch. BT is one of
the most expensive providers in the UK due to the high quality of their
network and ability to deliver the best support and service level
agreements.
While some competitors are still using 2 Mb or 8 Mb lines delivered over
unreliable copper wires as their primary connections, an additional
investment was made to use a quality "tier 1" backbone
provider ensuring your website flies onto the Internet at lightening
speed, every time.
Telewest is at the forefront of virtually every communications
technology that is creating broadband Internet for business - fibre-optic
networks, digital switching, Internet Protocol platforms, ISP services,
e-commerce, high-speed voice, data and video. As the UK's largest cable
operator, Telewest has the technical capabilities and business
